Depression Counseling in Birmingham, AL
Depression can make everything feel heavier—motivation drops, sleep changes, and even simple tasks feel uphill. Alexander & Associates Counseling Services takes a holistic approach: we consider your story, routines, relationships, responsibilities, health, and values, then mobilize the supports that fit your life. We help regular people going through difficult times—grief, caregiver stress, academic pressure, role transitions, and more.
How we treat depression
We use evidence-based strategies such as behavioral activation, CBT, interpersonal work, and mindfulness. When past experiences are part of the picture, we can collaborate with our EMDR-trained clinician for an integrative plan. You’ll learn small, achievable steps that build momentum—sleep routines, connection, purpose, and skills to shift unhelpful thought patterns.
